Happy Home Message Pillows!!!

If there was a Jennifer Paganelli fan club, I would want to be the president!!! I just love her so much and think she is so talented!! Her fabric designs are incredible and on top of releasing collection after collection of everybody's favorite cottons, she somehow finds the time to publish over the top books too!! So you can imagine how excited I was when I heard she had a new book coming out called "Happy Home"!! What a great title and it was sure to be a winner just like her first book, "Girls World". When it came in the mail I just looked right through all the amazing projects and felt so drawn to do the message pillows. I had started my business 11 years ago with a girlfriend and we made pillows and wood signs, so those pillows with a message were really speaking my language!! The directions are so easy and believe me you will have success the first time around! Here are some pics of my progress as I worked on them!!
As you trace your letters on the fusible web, dont forget to reverse them or they will come out backwards!! You can use any font you like, I found that letters around 6" work well on a 21" square pillow. But they can be any size you like!!

Cut all your letters out like this when you have them traced!

I like to iron my pillow top in half horizontally and vertically so I can see where the center of my pillow is to place the lettering!

Iron you letters on to the wrong side of your fabric choice!! This is the fun part!! And cut them out on the lines!

Then before you peel off the paper backing place them where you think they look good!

I like to use a paper guide on both sides of the pillow so they come out pretty even!!

I also cute a piece of fusible interfacing for the underneath of the pillow top so it is just a little more sturdy when I sew on the letters!! Stitch on your letters and follow the directions to make your pillow back!! And its that easy!! You wont be able to make just one!! And this is a project that is sure to make not only your home happy, but your heart happy too!! Thank you Jennifer!!! You always know exactly what we will love!! Happy Summer everyone!

  1. There are not enough positive words to describe Jennifer. I feel the same way about her and love all that she does to love and support her fans.

Your pillow is fabulous, especially in that polka dot chair! How many times have I mentioned I love those polka dots combined with Sis Boom? Well, I'm saying it again. It just sets everything off. :)
